rip van onesmallstar: starting over

ok, i was distracted. this is distracting. and this. yes, since september 2007. it's ridiculous, i know.

so why start again now? i have too many digital irons in the fire. with all these side projects i have all but ceased making jewelry, except for orders and events, and that's just not right. especially since i spent all day saturday finally organizing my materials, and... i have A LOT of materials. too many. i keep buying more. i'm like the dead sea of materials -- all this supply flowing in, but nothing flows out.

so here's an earnest effort to return to what i love. i have some new goals for one small star -- to pay more attention, for one. to make better use of flickr. to get raw photos of new work up without obsessing over them. to take more control of my digital web, to make it work for me rather than me for it (currently at the reward of zero american dollars, i might add...). to put up photos from some of the amazing shows i get to go see and promote some of my friends' gorgeous work. to connect with other artists in dc and all over.

just a start!
